Shipping Policy
Effective Date: July 11, 2022
Last Updated: July 18, 2026
Thank you for shopping with Retro Character Collectibles.
Most RCC inventory is more than 20 years old. Many items are one of a kind, discontinued, factory sealed, fragile, or difficult to replace in the same condition. We take extra time to inspect, document, protect, and pack each order properly before it leaves us.
We know waiting for a collectible is not the fun part. Our goal is to ship every order safely, communicate clearly, and get your purchase to you in the same documented condition shown in the listing.
This Shipping Policy applies to purchases made through the Retro Character Collectibles online storefront, owned and operated by RAPTOR Assets LLC.
1. Order Processing Time
Most orders are prepared for shipment within 3 to 5 business days after payment is approved and any required order verification is completed.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and days when carriers are closed.
Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.
Orders placed during weekends, holidays, or after normal business hours begin processing on the next business day.
Some orders may require additional processing time because of:
-
Fraud or payment review
-
Address verification
-
Customer identity or order verification
-
Special packing requirements
-
Large or fragile merchandise
-
Severe weather
-
Carrier interruptions
-
Holidays or unusually high order volume
-
Circumstances outside our reasonable control
We will contact you if a material delay affects your order.
2. Careful Packing of Collectibles
Older collectibles often require more protection than newly manufactured retail merchandise.
Depending on the item, packing may include:
-
Protective wrapping
-
Bubble cushioning
-
Corner protection
-
Interior void fill
-
Reinforced cartons
-
Double boxing
-
Moisture protection
-
Separate wrapping of accessories or components
-
Additional support for original packaging
-
Tamper evident or identifying packing materials
We may select a package size or shipping method based on the safest way to transport the item, rather than the smallest possible carton.
Original product packaging, manufacturer boxes, collectible boxes, blister packs, graded cases, or display packaging will not be used as the outer shipping container unless clearly disclosed before shipment.
3. Shipping Rates
Available shipping methods and charges are displayed during checkout.
Shipping charges may be based on:
-
Package weight
-
Package dimensions
-
Destination
-
Carrier
-
Service level
-
Insurance
-
Signature requirements
-
Special handling
-
Packaging requirements
The amount paid for shipping may include the carrier charge and reasonable costs associated with packaging, insurance, signature services, and shipment protection.
Promotional or free shipping offers may be subject to:
-
Minimum purchase amounts
-
Product exclusions
-
Geographic restrictions
-
Limited time periods
-
Specific shipping methods
-
Other terms displayed with the offer
Free shipping does not necessarily mean expedited shipping.
Active-Duty Military Shipping Benefit
RCC proudly offers free standard shipping to verified active-duty United States military personnel when the order is shipped directly to an eligible military duty location.
Eligible destinations include:
- APO addresses
- FPO addresses
- DPO addresses
- An official military unit, command, ship, barracks, office, or duty-station address
- Another verified delivery address located on a United States military installation and used for official military receipt of mail
This benefit does not apply to:
- Personal residential addresses
- Off-base homes or apartments
- A family member’s address
- Hotels or temporary lodging
- Commercial mailboxes
- Freight forwarders or reshipping services
- Civilian business addresses
- Personal on-base housing addresses
- Orders shipped to someone other than the verified active-duty service member
The customer’s active-duty status must be verified through the verification process offered by RCC. The name used for verification must reasonably match the customer or recipient information associated with the order.
We will not request that customers email or upload unnecessary copies of sensitive military identification documents. RCC may use an approved verification provider or another reasonable verification method.
Military Address Requirements
APO, FPO, and DPO orders must include:
- The service member’s full name or authorized job title
- The applicable unit, CMR, PSC, ship, or box information
- APO, FPO, or DPO as the city
- AA, AE, or AP as the state designation
- The correct ZIP Code
Do not include a foreign city or country in an APO, FPO, or DPO address. USPS also prohibits addressing military mail simply to “Any Service Member” or similar wording. Domestic military-installation mail must include the installation, state, and correct ZIP Code.
Benefit Limitations
The military shipping benefit covers the standard shipping method selected or approved by RCC.
It does not automatically include:
- Expedited shipping
- Overnight delivery
- Oversized-item surcharges
- Special handling charges
- Additional insurance requested by the customer
- International forwarding after delivery to the eligible military address
- Services unavailable for the destination
Signature confirmation, insurance, customs documentation, and other shipment protections may still be added when required by RCC, USPS, the destination, or the value of the order.
Some APO, FPO, and DPO shipments require customs documentation and may be subject to destination-specific restrictions or longer transit times.
If an order does not meet the eligibility requirements, RCC may contact the customer to collect the applicable shipping charge, request a qualifying address, or cancel and refund the order before shipment.
This benefit may not be exchanged for cash, applied retroactively after shipment, or combined with another shipping promotion unless RCC expressly permits it.
RCC reserves the right to modify or discontinue this benefit for future orders, though any qualifying order already accepted will be handled according to the offer in effect when the order was placed.
4. Shipping Carriers
We may use carriers such as the United States Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, or another reputable delivery provider.
The carrier offered or selected during checkout may depend on destination, package size, product value, delivery availability, and service restrictions.
When reasonably necessary, RCC may use a comparable carrier or service level that provides similar delivery speed and protection.
Carrier names, services, rates, coverage, and delivery areas may change without notice.
5. Estimated Delivery Dates
Delivery dates shown during checkout are estimates unless specifically identified by the carrier as guaranteed.
Estimated delivery time begins after the order has been processed and transferred to the carrier.
Delivery estimates may be affected by:
-
Weather
-
Holidays
-
Carrier volume
-
Transportation interruptions
-
Incorrect addresses
-
Customs processing
-
Remote delivery locations
-
Natural disasters
-
Labor disruptions
-
Other circumstances outside RCC’s reasonable control
RCC does not control a package after the carrier accepts it, though we will assist with legitimate delivery problems and carrier investigations.
6. Shipping Confirmation and Tracking
When tracking is available, a shipping confirmation will be sent to the email address provided during checkout.
Tracking information may take time to appear after a label is created or after the package is first scanned by the carrier.
A shipping label notification means the label has been created. It does not necessarily mean the package has already received its first carrier scan.
Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking and arranging for secure receipt of the package.
7. Shipping Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address during checkout.
Before submitting an order, verify:
-
Recipient’s first and last name
-
Street address
-
Apartment, suite, unit, or building number
-
City
-
State or province
-
Postal code
-
Country
-
Telephone number when requested
Contact us immediately at licensedfinds@gmail.com if you discover an error.
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order is submitted.
For fraud prevention, we generally will not redirect an order to a different address supplied later by email, text message, social media, or another form of communication.
When an address change is necessary, we may cancel and refund the original order so the customer can place a new order using the correct address.
8. Billing and Shipping Address Review
A different billing and shipping address does not automatically mean an order is fraudulent. Gifts, business addresses, family addresses, and alternate delivery locations may be legitimate.
However, RCC may review orders involving:
-
Significant billing and shipping address differences
-
Failed address verification
-
Multiple payment attempts
-
Unusual order activity
-
Freight forwarding services
-
Reshipping businesses
-
High value merchandise
-
Other fraud indicators
We may contact the customer for reasonable verification before shipment.
Failure to complete verification may result in order cancellation and refund.
9. Freight Forwarders and Reshipping Services
Orders addressed to freight forwarders, reshipping companies, package forwarding services, hotels, temporary accommodations, or commercial receiving facilities may require additional review.
We reserve the right to decline shipment to a forwarding or reshipping service when:
-
The order presents elevated fraud risk.
-
Delivery cannot be reasonably verified.
-
Carrier insurance protection may be limited.
-
The address conflicts with payment information.
-
The service will forward the package internationally without our involvement.
-
Other circumstances make the transaction unusually risky.
When a freight forwarder or reshipping service is used, RCC’s responsibility for delivery is generally limited to delivery at the checkout address, subject to applicable law.
We are not responsible for damage, loss, repacking, customs issues, or mishandling that occurs after a forwarding service receives the package.
10. Signature Confirmation
Orders with a merchandise value of $100 or more may require a signature upon delivery.
RCC may also require a signature for any order based on:
-
Product value
-
Product rarity or replacement difficulty
-
Delivery location
-
Fraud risk
-
Prior delivery problems
-
Carrier or insurance requirements
-
Customer request
A carrier signature, delivery scan, delivery photograph, Global Positioning System record, or other carrier documentation may be used when investigating a delivery claim.
The person signing for the package should be authorized to receive deliveries at the shipping address.
Customers are responsible for arranging availability or using carrier delivery management options when offered.
11. Insurance
RCC may insure shipments based on product value, destination, carrier availability, and other risk factors.
Insurance coverage and claim requirements vary by carrier and service.
Carrier insurance does not guarantee that every loss or damage claim will be approved.
Customers must cooperate with reasonable carrier or insurance requirements, which may include:
-
Photographs
-
Packaging inspection
-
Written statements
-
Proof of damage
-
Proof of nondelivery
-
Retention of all packing materials
-
Completion of carrier forms
-
Other supporting documentation
12. Shipping Documentation
RCC may photograph or record an order during inspection, packing, and shipment preparation.
Documentation may include:
-
Product condition
-
Identifying marks
-
Serial or model numbers
-
Manufacturer and license marks
-
Factory tape and seals
-
Original packaging
-
Included accessories and components
-
Interior packing materials
-
The sealed shipping carton
-
Shipping label
-
Package dimensions
-
Package weight
-
Tracking information
These records may be used for customer service, returns, carrier claims, insurance claims, fraud prevention, payment disputes, and legal compliance.
13. Damaged Packages
We pack orders carefully, though damage can occasionally occur while a package is in the carrier’s possession.
If an order arrives damaged, contact us at licensedfinds@gmail.com within 48 hours after delivery whenever reasonably possible.
Include:
-
Your name
-
Order number
-
Photographs of the damaged item
-
Photographs of the exterior shipping carton
-
Photographs of the shipping label
-
Photographs of the interior packing materials
-
Photographs of any damage to the original product packaging
-
A brief description of what occurred
Keep the item, shipping carton, labels, packing materials, and damaged components until we provide written instructions.
Do not discard, repair, clean, alter, operate, or return the item before the claim review is completed.
Prompt reporting helps preserve evidence required by the carrier or insurer. Reporting outside the requested timeframe does not eliminate any right that cannot legally be waived, though delayed reporting may make verification or recovery more difficult.
14. Unboxing Documentation
We recommend recording a brief, continuous video while opening fragile, valuable, factory sealed, or collectible shipments.
An unboxing video may help document:
-
The condition of the sealed shipping carton
-
The condition of the package when delivered
-
Interior packing materials
-
The item’s condition when first removed
-
Missing components
-
Transit damage
An unboxing video is helpful supporting evidence, but it is not an automatic condition for every legitimate claim and does not guarantee approval by a carrier, insurer, payment provider, or RCC.
15. Lost or Delayed Packages
Contact us if tracking stops updating for an unusual period or the package appears lost.
Before a package can be treated as lost, the carrier may require:
-
A waiting period
-
A missing mail or package search
-
A formal investigation
-
Confirmation of the delivery address
-
Additional customer information
-
Completion of insurance documents
RCC may open a carrier investigation or insurance claim when appropriate.
A refund or replacement will not ordinarily be issued while the carrier is actively transporting or investigating the package.
Because many RCC products are one of a kind, an identical replacement may not be available. When a covered loss is confirmed, the available remedy may be a refund rather than replacement.
16. Packages Marked Delivered
When tracking shows that a package was delivered but you cannot locate it, please:
-
Confirm the shipping address on the order.
-
Check all doors and secure delivery locations.
-
Check with household members.
-
Check with neighbors.
-
Check with building management, mailrooms, or front desks.
-
Contact the carrier.
-
Allow time for any carrier investigation.
-
Contact RCC promptly.
We may review:
-
Tracking records
-
Delivery scans
-
Delivery photographs
-
Signature records
-
Carrier Global Positioning System information
-
Order and address information
-
Customer statements
-
Other available delivery evidence
A delivered tracking status does not automatically decide every claim, though it is relevant evidence.
Refunds or replacements for missing delivered packages depend on the complete circumstances, carrier findings, insurance requirements, payment-provider rules, and applicable law.
17. Package Theft
Customers are responsible for providing a reasonably secure delivery location and arranging prompt receipt of packages.
When available, consider:
-
Signature confirmation
-
Carrier pickup
-
Delivery to a staffed business
-
A secure package room
-
A trusted recipient
-
Carrier delivery management services
Report suspected package theft to RCC and the carrier promptly.
A police report or mail-theft report may be requested when reasonably necessary for a carrier, insurance, or payment investigation.
18. Refused, Unclaimed, and Undeliverable Packages
Refusing a package, failing to collect it, or allowing it to be returned by the carrier does not automatically cancel the order or qualify it for a full refund.
A package may be returned because of:
-
An incomplete address
-
An incorrect address
-
Failure to collect the package
-
Refusal of delivery
-
An unavailable recipient
-
Unpaid customs charges
-
Carrier access restrictions
-
Customer supplied information
When an undamaged package is returned for a reason not caused by RCC, any approved refund may be reduced by:
-
Original shipping charges
-
Return carrier charges
-
The applicable 25% restocking fee
-
Other direct costs permitted by law
Orders returned because of an RCC addressing or fulfillment error will be handled without those deductions.
Reshipment may be available after the customer pays the new shipping cost, provided the item remains in its documented condition and RCC approves reshipment.
19. Multiple Item Orders
Items from the same order may be shipped:
-
Together in one package
-
In multiple packages
-
At different times
-
Through different carriers
We may separate products when doing so provides safer packing, reduces damage risk, or complies with carrier restrictions.
Customers will receive available tracking information for each shipment.
20. Combined Orders
Separate orders are not automatically combined.
Contact us before shipment if you would like us to consider combining orders.
We cannot guarantee that orders can be combined after they enter processing.
When orders are safely combined, any shipping adjustment is determined at RCC’s discretion based on actual packaging, weight, insurance, and carrier requirements.
21. Post Office Boxes and Military Addresses
Shipping to Post Office boxes, Army Post Office, Fleet Post Office, and Diplomatic Post Office addresses may be available when supported by the selected carrier and product type.
Certain services, signature options, package sizes, insurance levels, or products may not be available for these addresses.
The checkout page will display the methods available for the destination information provided.
22. International Shipping
International shipping is available only to destinations and products offered during checkout.
International customers are responsible for:
-
Accurate address and customs information
-
Import duties
-
Taxes
-
Value added tax
-
Customs fees
-
Brokerage charges
-
Carrier handling fees
-
Other charges assessed by the destination country
These charges are generally not included in the product or shipping price unless checkout expressly states otherwise.
RCC cannot control customs processing times or decisions.
We will describe merchandise accurately and will not alter product values, mark commercial purchases as gifts, or make false customs declarations.
Customers are responsible for confirming that an item may lawfully be imported into their country.
A package refused or abandoned because of customs charges or import restrictions may be handled under the refused and unclaimed package provisions of this policy.
23. Shipping Restrictions
We may decline or cancel an order when shipment would:
-
Violate applicable law
-
Violate carrier restrictions
-
Violate payment-provider requirements
-
Create unreasonable safety concerns
-
Require unavailable insurance
-
Involve a prohibited destination
-
Present an unacceptable fraud risk
-
Be impossible to pack or transport safely
When a paid order is canceled before shipment, the applicable refund will be issued to the original payment method.
24. Order Cancellations
Contact us promptly if you need to request cancellation.
We cannot guarantee cancellation after an order has entered processing, been packed, had a shipping label created, or been transferred to the carrier.
An order is not canceled until RCC confirms the cancellation in writing.
If an order has already shipped, it must be handled under our Return and Refund Policy.
25. Shipping Delays Before Fulfillment
We make reasonable efforts to ship within the processing timeframe stated in this policy.
If we cannot ship within the stated or legally required timeframe, we may:
-
Contact you with a revised expected shipping date and request your agreement to the delay; or
-
Cancel the unshipped order and issue the required refund.
We will not substitute a different product without your approval.
26. Returns
Shipping a product back to RCC is governed by our Return and Refund Policy.
All returns require prior written authorization.
Do not send merchandise to the address shown on the original shipping label or the business contact address unless RCC specifically provides that address in the return authorization.
Unauthorized returns may be refused, delayed, or returned to the sender, subject to applicable law.
27. Changes to This Shipping Policy
We may update this Shipping Policy to reflect changes in:
-
Carriers
-
Shipping services
-
Rates
-
Insurance requirements
-
Delivery areas
-
Business operations
-
Legal requirements
-
Shopify features
The Shipping Policy in effect when an order is placed generally governs that order unless applicable law requires otherwise or we agree in writing to a more favorable provision.
We will post the revised policy and update the Last Updated date.
28. Contact Information

Please include your order number in all shipping related correspondence.
We know these policies are detailed. Most exist because older collectibles do not get a second chance after crushed packaging, broken seals, careless handling, or a disappearing package. We would rather spend the extra time protecting your purchase than explain afterward why a twenty year old collectible arrived looking like it lost a bar fight.
